Angeles City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Sugui presided over a coordination meeting on April 10, 2025, with barangay captains and representatives in preparation for the third edition of the upcoming Reyna de las Flores this May.
This initiative is in line with the directive of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., to ensure a well-organized event with full participation from all city barangays.
Reyna de las Flores, or Queen of Flowers, is an inter-barangay competition that celebrates the beauty, elegance, and confidence of Angeleña beauties representing their respective communities.
According to Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, who also serves as the supervising head of the Reyna de las Flores committee, the winner of this year’s competition—hosted by the city government—will receive a grand cash prize of ₱100,000.
Included in the festival is a locally designed gown competition for the traditional Santacruzan parade, which will serve as the culminating event of the celebration.
Mayor Lazatin emphasized that commemorating this festival provides an avenue to highlight Angeleños’ creativity in local fashion design and to further promote the city’s flourishing flower industry.
